Strap Length
The Length of a strap is very important.
Heres how it works. First I start out with the length of guitar strap that you desire. Then I use an adjustable belt style tail strap that will adjust up to 9" long. So from the center hole of the tail strap you have 4" of adjustment in either direction. For example: If you want a guitar strap that is 54" long this will adjust from 50 to 58 making the strap center at 54. This will assure you a better fit and show more of the design on the guitar strap. There is no standard size strap for anyone. There is no one size fits all. Custom Guitar Straps are made different than the cheap store bought guitar straps.
I have made guitar straps for a guys that are 6' tall, the strap sizes they wanted where ranging from 37 to 72" long. That is a wide range.
I am 5'10" and I use a strap that is 59" long for my Electric and 54 for both my Bass and Acoustic guitars. So length of a guitar strap is very important. So size dose matter.
I know it can be a pain sometimes to try to get a guitar strap length especially when its a gift for someone. But you got to. Otherwise you will have to send it back for alterations. So lets get it right the first time.
